European Sold Production of Enzymes, Prepared Enzymes by Country

In 2023, Denmark dominated European enzyme production at 199.63 million kilograms, showing strong growth at 4.42%. Finland followed with 69.206 million kilograms, growing by 1.46%. While Belgium also grew by 4.27% to 26.435 million kilograms, France noted a modest increase of 2.17% with 22.589 million kilograms. Significant growth was observed in Italy and Spain, at 17.95% and 35.3% respectively. Germany showed moderate expansion with a 4.28% rise. Conversely, countries like the UK and Lithuania experienced declines, at -5.89% and -27.74% respectively.

Future trends may see increased competitiveness and innovation, especially in countries with rising production growth like Spain and Italy, while strategic shifts could potentially rejuvenate production in declining markets like the UK.
