Between 2013 and 2023, the import of wooden kitchen furniture to Egypt saw significant fluctuations. Starting from 213.2 thousand kilograms in 2013, the volume experienced a remarkable growth, especially from 2013 to 2016 with a peak year-on-year increase of 77.77% in 2014 and a CAGR of 48.82% by 2015. However, it faced a decline of 22.82% in 2017. From 2018 onwards, the growth stabilized somewhat, with a CAGR of 5.57% by 2023, reaching 688.01 thousand kilograms.
For future trends, the forecasted data from 2024 to 2028 suggests a moderate growth with a CAGR of 2.75%. By 2028, the imports are expected to increase by about 14.5%. Stakeholders should focus on potential economic and policy changes that can impact the import sector, alongside monitoring global trade conditions and local market demands.
