Switzerland remains the leader in European pharmaceutical production, producing €153.31 billion in 2024 with an 11.71% YoY increase in 2023. Germany follows, having a modest 0.73% rise, leading to €58.72 billion. France and Belgium exhibit similar outputs at around €34 billion, Yet Belgium’s growth at 11.7% edges out France's 4.54%. The UK and Spain show significant production figures of €31.28 billion and €30.92 billion respectively, with Spain registering an impressive 15.4% growth. Emerging markets like Denmark, the Netherlands, and regional players Hungary, Poland, and Slovenia showcase consistent growth between 3% to 10%. Lower-output countries are still contributing, led by Iceland with a 38.47% increase. Overall, a diversified and steadily growing European pharma landscape is evident.
