Over the past decade, the production of industrial gases in Poland has demonstrated significant fluctuations. Initially, from 2013 to 2016, there was an overall decline, followed by a substantial increase in 2017. However, the sharp drop in 2018, with an 84.38% year-on-year decrease, marked a period of volatility. Production surged by 535.98% in 2019, only to face a decline again in 2020 and 2021. By 2023, production stood at 2.6128 Billion Kilograms, showing an 11.11% year-on-year decrease from 2022. Over the past five years (up to 2023), the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) was 25.37%, reflecting the recent volatility.
Forecasts predict a continual decline in production from 2024 to 2028, with the expected production in 2028 being significantly lower than in previous years. The forecasted CAGR for the next five years is -21.2%, indicating a strong downward trend.
Future trends to watch for include shifts in market demand, technological advancements, alternative energy sources, and regulatory changes that may impact production strategies in the industrial gas sector. Monitoring these factors could provide insights into potential stabilization or recovery in production volumes.
