Starting from 26.21 units in 2013 and dipping to 9.26 in 2014, the publications saw an upward trend reaching 49.23 units by 2023. From 2024 onwards, the forecast indicates a steady growth direction, peaking at 62.24 units by 2028. Year-on-year variation reveals high volatility in the earlier years, stabilizing with modest growth in recent times. Specifically, the last two years (2022 and 2023) experienced slight changes of -0.14% and 5.67%, respectively. The 5-year CAGR was 3.57% up to 2023, and the forecast indicates a 3.72% CAGR growth from 2024 to 2028, accounting for a 20.02% increase over the period.
Future trends to watch for include potential advancements in biomedical technology, increased research funding, and enhanced academic collaboration, all of which could propel the number of publications further. Additionally, monitoring policy changes and industry investments will be crucial to understanding and anticipating shifts in publication trends.
