European Weaving of Textiles Production Value by Country

In 2023, Italy led Europe's textile weaving sector, with production values significantly higher than other countries. Germany, France, and Spain followed, yet Germany and France saw declines of -1.26% and -0.84%, respectively. Surprisingly, Portugal and Austria recorded positive growth, with Austria's increase at 2.48%. A noteworthy surge came from Serbia, with an 11.24% rise, while Iceland experienced dramatic growth at 44.28% albeit from a small base. Conversely, the UK faced a modest -0.75% downturn. Central and Eastern European nations largely faced declines, notably Romania at -3.16%, and Lithuania suffered the most within this group.
