In 2024, Germany remains the leading producer of plastics in Europe with a production value of 19.23 billion euros. The Netherlands follows with a value of 12.43 billion euros. Italy and Spain occupy the third and fourth positions with production values of 9.48 and 8.76 billion euros respectively. Austria, France, and Belgium are also significant contributors with each generating between 5.76 and 7.8 billion euros. Lesser players such as Lithuania, Finland, Norway, and others show values well below 1 billion euros, with the smallest production value being Slovakia at 0.0107 billion euros.
