The export of personal deodorants and antiperspirants from Vietnam has seen significant growth over the past decade. Starting from a base of 144.66 thousand kilograms in 2013, the export volume surged to 660.84 thousand kilograms in 2016, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 55.52% during that period. However, the subsequent years showed fluctuations, with 2017 experiencing a substantial decline followed by a recovery phase.
As of 2023, the export volume stands at 645.59 thousand kilograms. The year-on-year growth for 2022 and 2023 was moderate, at 4.02% and 3.79%, respectively. This stabilizing trend is echoed in the average annual growth rate over the last five years, which is 4.31%.
Looking ahead, the forecast indicates a continued upward trend, with a five-year CAGR of 2.74% projected to 2028. This suggests that while growth rates are expected to taper, the overall export volume will still increase, reaching 768.67 thousand kilograms by 2028, representing a total growth of 14.48% over the next five years.
Future trends to watch for include potential market saturation, shifts in global demand, and the impact of new market entrants. Additionally, economic and geopolitical factors, as well as advancements in product formulations, could influence the export dynamics in the coming years.
