European Ambient Heat Final Consumption by Households by Country

In 2023, France led European ambient heat consumption at 44.29 TWh, with notable year-on-year growth of 13.99%. Germany, despite a lower figure of 18.6 TWh, also experienced growth at 8.53%. Noteworthy growth occurred in the Netherlands (29.69%) and Belgium (23.6%). Conversely, the UK and Italy showed modest increases at 5.05% and 0.065%, respectively. Hungary demonstrated substantial growth at 33.75%, whereas Latvia and Slovakia saw no significant change.

Future trends indicate a rise in ambient heat adoption in European households. This growth is driven by energy efficiency initiatives and environmental consciousness. Increased adoption rates in newer regions signal a potential shift in energy consumption patterns.
