In 2023, Spain led European production of whole fresh squids, cuttlefishes, and octopuses in capture fisheries with 26.32 thousand metric tons, showing a 12.61% increase from the previous year. France followed with 16.62 thousand metric tons, up by 2.72%, and the United Kingdom at 9.83 thousand metric tons, rising by 6.21%. Other countries like Slovenia, Cyprus, and Sweden witnessed reductions, with Germany maintaining stability.
