China's nickel exports are forecast to decrease by 7.5% year-on-year to $234 million by 2026, according to CAGR data. In 2021, the country was ranked 19th, with Madagascar in the lead with $369 million. The United States, Russia, and Germany followed in second, third, and fourth places respectively. China's nickel imports are expected to rise by 1.6% on average year-on-year to $6.3 billion by 2026. Since 1997, Chinese demand for the metal has grown by 3.1% year-on-year. The United States, Japan, and Norway took the next three spots in the ranking.
