Saint Lucian insecticide imports are projected to decline by 3.5% each year until 2026. In 2021, the country imported 239,000 kilograms of insecticides. This is a significant decrease from the amount imported in 1997, which was 6.6% lower than the previous year. Exports of insecticides from Saint Lucia also dropped drastically in 2017 to 712 kilograms, a decrease of 45.6% since 2016. This decline is even more significant when compared to the 3% growth in exports since 1997.
