Gambian insecticide imports are set to grow by an average of 1.8% annually over the next five years. In 2021, the country is expected to import 1.3 million kilograms of insecticides, a 9.2% increase since 2000. Gambian insecticide exports, however, have decreased substantially since 2000. In 2017, exports totalled 1.9 thousand kilograms, a 71.7% drop compared to 2016, and a 51.7% decrease since 2000.
