Nigerian demand for insecticides has declined over the past 18 years. In 2001, demand peaked at 10.8%, but has since declined year on year. In 2018, however, Nigerian insecticide exports reached nearly 142,500 kilograms, representing a 1,310% increase from 2017's 10,140 kilograms. Supply, however, has been on the decline since 2012, with a 40.5% decrease year on year.
