Eritrea's milk production is expected to increase by 1% year on year from 2021 to 2026. In 2021, it was estimated at around 180,000 metric tons, and it ranked 125th in the world. That same year, the United Arab Emirates overtook Eritrea as the world's top milk producer, with 170,000 metric tons. The United States Virgin Islands, Pakistan, and Brazil came in second, third, and fourth, respectively. Since 1998, Eritrea's milk production has been growing at a rate of 1.9% year on year.
