Milk consumption is set to rise to nearly €6 billion by 2026, according to a new report. The demand for milk has been increasing year on year by an average of 5.8%, with growth of 0.8% from 2020 to 2026. The United Kingdom, Italy, and France took the top three spots in milk consumption in 2020, followed by Germany in fifth place. German milk production is predicted to reach 34.7 million metric tons by 2026, with a year-on-year growth of 0.5%, and a total increase of 0.6% since 1966. China overtook Germany in 2021 with 33.6 million metric tons, followed by the United States Virgin Islands, Pakistan, and Brazil.
