Pakistan is set to become the world's second-largest producer of milk by 2026, according to a report from the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization. The report showed the nation's milk production is expected to hit nearly 68 million metric tons by 2026, up from 59 million metric tons in 2021. This is a 2.2% year-on-year growth rate, compared to the 6.6% average since 1966. The United States Virgin Islands currently holds top spot in terms of milk production, but Pakistan is projected to overtake the country in the next five years. The United States Virgin Islands, Pakistan and Brazil are expected to rank first, second and third respectively.
