India is set to become the twelfth largest importer of pulp globally by 2026. In 2021, Spain was the largest importer with 1.02 million metric tons, followed by the United States, Germany, and Italy. On the other hand, India is set to be the forty-seventh largest exporter of pulp by 2026. In 2021, Hungary had the highest pulp exports of 4.57 million metric tons, followed by Canada, the United States, and Chile. Indian demand for pulp has grown by an average of 2% year on year since 1966. However, Indian supply of pulp has decreased by 19.5% year on year since 1976.
