Since 1999, the country’s demand for synthetic rubber has increased by an average of 1.8% each year. Conversely, the export scenario paints a different picture. In 2018, Egypt’s synthetic rubber exports plummeted to roughly $7,400 from about $105,000 in 2017, a staggering 93% decrease. Since 1999, the nation’s supply has been on a downward trajectory, with an annual decline of nearly 49%.
