Global synthetic rubber exports are expected to reach $15.4 billion by 2026, down 1.7% per year from $16.9 billion in 2021, according to a new report. Since 2016, global supply has increased by 2.7% per year. South Korea led the way in 2021 with $3.1 billion in exports, followed by Thailand, the United States and Japan. The Philippines saw a 164.1% year-on-year increase, while Malta saw a 65.3% decrease. Global synthetic rubber imports are predicted to reach $27 billion by 2026, growing 0.3% per year from $26.1 billion in 2021. Since 2016, global demand has grown by 5.7% per year. China led the way in 2021 with $8.4 billion in imports, followed by the United States, Germany and Malaysia. Togo saw a 154.6% year-on-year increase, while Aruba saw a 61.7% decrease.
