Kenya saw a significant increase in its import and export of synthetic rubber in 2018. Imports rose 41.1% to just under $5.7 million, while exports saw a 35.2% increase, totalling $270,380. The country ranked 70th and 62nd respectively for imports and exports. Jordan was the top importing country, while Peru was the top exporting country. The United States, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, and Japan followed in the respective rankings. Since 1997, Kenyan demand has declined by 10.5%, while supply has increased by 121.7%.
