Since 2005, the country’s demand for synthetic rubber has increased by an average of 2.9% per year. On the export front, Namibia saw its synthetic rubber exports decline slightly in 2018. The nation exported $4,300 worth of synthetic rubber that year, down 1.3% from $4,360 in 2017. Over the longer term, from 2005 onwards, Namibia’s supply of synthetic rubber for export has decreased by an average of 16.2% annually.
