The Gambia's import of synthetic rubber dropped by 9.2% in 2018, down to $1.43 million from $1.57 million the previous year. Since 2001, Gambian demand for the product has grown by a remarkable 82.7% annually. Though the country ranked 143rd in 2018, Seychelles was just ahead with import figures of $1.43 million. The United States, Germany and Malaysia were respectively second, third and fourth in the ranking.
