This decline continues a trend observed since 2001, with an average annual drop of nearly 7%. Ukraine ranked 61st in synthetic rubber exports for 2023, trailing behind Croatia, which matched Ukraine's export value of around $174,000. Leading the global rankings were Thailand, the United States, and Japan, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. On the import front, Ukraine's synthetic rubber imports are projected to decline. By 2028, imports are expected to fall to around $42 million, down from $55 million in 2023. This represents an annual decrease of about 4%. Since 2001, Ukraine's demand for synthetic rubber has diminished at an average rate of 3.5% per year.
