Since 2011, the country has seen a decrease of 4.9 percent in demand. In 2021, Montenegro was the 128th largest importer of synthetic rubber with $25.2 million, surpassed by The Bahamas with $25.2 million. The United States, Germany and Malaysia ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. In 2018, Montenegro was the 92nd largest importer of synthetic rubber with $6.3 million, overtaken by Honduras with $6.3 million. Thailand, the United States and Japan ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
