Since 1986, the country has seen an annual growth rate of 1.8%. Croatia placed 35th in the 2021 ranking, with Latvia coming in ahead at 17.8 million tonne-kilometres. The United States, Russia and India placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Croatia's freight revenue is set to reach €1.98 billion by 2026, up from the €1.72 billion recorded in 2021. This is a 2.1% year-on-year average increase since 2017, when the market saw a 5.2% jump. Croatia was 24th in the 2021 ranking, with Ireland leading at €1.72 billion. France, Germany and Poland placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
