In the global ranking for 2023, South Africa placed 29th, with Norway leading the category at $4.4 million. Germany, the United States, and France secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. On the import front, South Africa is expected to see a sharper decline. DC motor imports are estimated to drop to roughly $1.8 million by 2028, plummeting from about $3.8 million in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 11.9%. Since 2005, the country's demand for DC motors has decreased by 5.9% year on year.
