Nigerien crude oil production is set to reach 1.2 million tonnes of oil equivalent by 2026. In 2021, it was recorded at 962,400 tonnes, growing at a year-on-year rate of 3.2%. Since 2016, Nigerien supply has increased by 5.4% on a yearly basis. Saudi Arabia, the United States and Iraq are the second, third and fourth biggest producers of crude oil respectively.
