Demand for Dutch crude oil is expected to reach 4,020 thousand metric tons by January 2022, a slight increase of 0.1% compared to the previous year. Since 2007, there has been a decrease of 3.1% year on year. Meanwhile, Dutch crude oil production is predicted to reach 486.2 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent by 2026, a drop of 7.2% compared to 2021. Since 1976, the annual average rate of decrease has been 5.5%. The Democratic Republic of the Congo overtook the Netherlands in 2021, coming in 61st place with 737.01 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent. Saudi Arabia, the United States and Iraq come in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
