Polish demand for crude oil is set to reach 2,170 thousand metric tons in January 2022, a 4.2% increase from the same time a year before. This is despite a 1.1% decrease in demand since January 2007. The country is also expected to boost its production of crude oil to 1,170 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent by 2026 from 1,060 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent in 2021, growing at an average rate of 1.4% year on year. Since 1976, production has increased by 0.8% year on year. In 2021, Poland was in 57th place, behind Ukraine. The top three producers were Saudi Arabia, the United States and Iraq.
