Qatar's crude oil production is set to fall by 1.3% year-on-year, from 28,000 to 26,600 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent by 2026. This marks a decrease of 2.8% since 1976. In 2021, Qatar ranked 27th in the world for production with 28,280 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent. Egypt was ahead of Qatar, while Saudi Arabia, the United States and Iraq were numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
