Imports into Kenya rose by 102.2% in 2018, with 5.13 billion units bought compared to 2.54 billion the year before. Since 1997, imports have increased by 57.4% year on year, totalling 4.99 billion units. The US, China and Brazil ranked second, third and fourth in terms of Kenyan imports.
