Ugandan headphone imports are projected to decline significantly over the next five years. According to recent data, imports are expected to fall to approximately 55,000 units by 2028, down from about 92,000 units in 2023. This represents a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) decrease of 8.2%. Despite this projected downturn, Ugandan demand for headphones has seen an annual increase of 1.7% since 2005. On the export front, Uganda is expected to see modest growth. Headphone exports are predicted to reach roughly 1,500 units by 2028, up from around 1,400 units in 2023. This marks a CAGR increase of 1.2%. However, since 2011, the country's supply has decreased by 1.4% annually. In 2023, Uganda ranked 24th globally in headphone exports. Ecuador slightly outpaced Uganda, matching its export figure at around 1,400 units. The United States, Malaysia, and Belarus were the top three exporters in this category.
