Stone imports and exports in Sri Lanka are expected to reach nearly $47 million by 2026, up from $41.4 million in 2021. This would represent an average annual growth rate of 2%. Since 1999, Sri Lankan demand has grown at an average of 3.6% a year. In 2021, Sri Lanka ranked 84th in terms of stone imports, with Moldova ahead of it at $41.4 million. Germany, the United Kingdom and France occupied the second, third and fourth spots respectively. Exports of stone from Sri Lanka are forecast to reach $36.6 million by 2026, up from $31.7 million in 2021. This would represent an average annual growth rate of 2.4%. Since 1999, Sri Lankan supply has risen by an average of 1.2% a year. In 2021, the country placed 63rd in terms of stone exports, with New Zealand in front at $31.7 million. Germany, the United States and Italy were the second, third and fourth largest exporters respectively.
