Latvian sandstone exports dropped by 62% in 2021, sinking to €1,170 compared to €3,080 in 2020. Hungary overtook the country in the rankings, coming in at number 19 with €1,170. Poland, Belgium and Spain were the other top three exporters. Meanwhile, Latvian sandstone imports were non-existent in 2019, down 100% from €130 a year before. This marks the lowest point in the last 15 years, when Latvia was placed 24th in the rankings. Bulgaria came ahead with €0, followed by Belgium, the Netherlands and Romania.
