Korea is set to experience steady growth in its leather goods imports and exports over the next five years. Imports are expected to reach $230 million by 2026, a 2.5% increase from 2021 levels. Meanwhile, exports are forecast to rise 7.3% to $13 million in 2018. Since 1993, the country's leather goods imports have increased by nearly 5% year on year. In 2021, Korea came in 11th place in the global rankings with imports of $191 million. Canada overtook Korea with $192 million. Germany, France, and Italy respectively took second, third, and fourth place. Korea's leather goods exports also saw a boost in 2018, reaching $13 million, up 7.3% from 2017. Since 1993, however, exports have decreased by 11.1% year on year.
