Sales of leather goods in Germany are expected to reach €2.75 billion by 2026, down 0.5% year-on-year on average. This figure is down 1.7% since 2010. In 2021, Germany took fourth place in the global ranking, behind Spain who took the lead with €2.68 billion. France, Spain and Germany were the top three countries in the ranking. Exports of German leather goods are set to reach $454 million by 2026, a 0.6% increase on average year-on-year since 1996. Meanwhile, imports are forecast to drop 1.8% year-on-year to $557 million by 2026, a 1.5% decrease since 1996. In 2021, the US came in first place with $619 million, followed by Germany, France and Italy.
