Azerbaijan is forecast to increase its import of leather goods over the next five years. The country is expected to reach $6.8 million in 2026, up 4.4% from 2021. Since 2001, Azerbaijani demand for leather goods has risen 10.7% on average each year. In 2021, Kazakhstan overtook the country with $5.2 million, pushing Azerbaijan to 66th place in the global ranking. Germany, France and Italy held the second, third and fourth spots, respectively. Azerbaijan's export of leather goods is also set to grow slightly in the next five years. In 2026, the figure is estimated to reach $8.9 million, up 0.5% from 2021. Since 2002, the country's supplies have decreased 7.1% on average each year.
