Uganda is set to become a major exporter of milk powder in the next five years. Exports are expected to increase by 3.3% year on year, reaching 4 million kilograms by 2026. In 2021, Uganda was ranked 36th in the world, with 3.3 million kilograms exported. Kyrgyzstan was the top exporter, followed by Germany, New Zealand and France. Meanwhile, Ugandan imports of milk powder are set to decrease by 1.3% year on year, reaching 197,000 kilograms by 2026. In 2021, the country was ranked 116th, with Swaziland coming out on top. The Philippines, Indonesia and Algeria followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
