Spain is poised to see a slight increase in its milk powder imports and exports in the next five years. In 2021, Spanish imports of milk powder reached 61 million kilograms, up 5.2% from 1994, placing it in 14th place in the global ranking. Germany was the top importer with 61 million kilograms followed by the Philippines, Indonesia and Algeria. Exports of milk powder from Spain in 2021 totaled nearly 16 million kilograms, up 12.3% from 1994, and placed them 25th in the global ranking. Portugal was the top exporter with 15.9 million kilograms followed by Germany, New Zealand and France. Between 2021 and 2026, Spanish imports and exports of milk powder are expected to grow at an annual rate of 1.2 and 1.3%, respectively.
