Since 1997, the country's supply of antibiotics has been on a downward trajectory, decreasing by an average of 39.9% annually. On the import side, Ecuador is projected to see a slight reduction in antibiotic imports, expected to reach around $23 million by 2028, down from $23.5 million in 2023. This represents an average annual decline of 0.4%. However, since 1996, Ecuador's demand for antibiotics has generally been on the rise, increasing by an average of 1.8% each year.
