ABIDJAN – Ivory Coast's antibiotics imports are projected to decline to approximately $396,000 by 2028, down from around $499,000 in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 3.7%. The trend follows a longer-term decline in demand, which has been falling by an average of 5.1% per year since 2000. In contrast, domestic supply of antibiotics has seen a significant increase. Since 2001, Ivorian production has surged by an average of 157.6% annually.
