Key Market Indicators
Fiji's antibiotics import market is projected to decline sharply by 2028. Current estimates indicate that the value of imported antibiotics will drop to approximately $1,200 by that year, a significant decrease from the $2,740 recorded in 2023. This decline represents an average annual reduction of 13.2%. Despite this downward trend, it's noteworthy that Fijian demand for antibiotics had previously surged. Since 2007, the country experienced a remarkable increase of about 176% annually in its antibiotics import. These figures reflect a substantial shift in Fiji’s pharmaceutical import landscape over the coming years.
