Demand for chromium imports in the Netherlands is expected to reach around 5 million kilograms by 2026, up by 1.5% on average each year since 2021. The Netherlands was the third-highest importer in 2021, with Germany taking the top spot. Japan and Germany, followed by the Netherlands, were the top four countries in the ranking. Meanwhile, Dutch exports of chromium are forecast to decline by around 0.4% per year to 3.2 million kilograms by 2026, despite having grown by almost 3% since 1997. Germany was the largest exporter in 2021, with the Netherlands coming in seventh. Poland, France and the UK were the next three in the ranking.
