Honduras is projected to see its grains production rise to approximately 737,000 metric tons by 2028, up from around 724,000 metric tons in 2023. This represents a modest annual growth rate of 0.3%. Since 1966, however, Honduras has experienced a 2% annual decline in its grain supply. In 2023, the country ranked 111th globally in grains production, with Rwanda surpassing it at the same production level of roughly 724,000 metric tons. Leading the global rankings are the United States, India, and Brazil, which respectively hold the second, third, and fourth positions in grains production.
