Armenia's grain production is projected to decline significantly, reaching approximately 74,000 metric tons by 2028. This marks a steep drop from around 162,000 metric tons in 2023, with an expected annual decrease of 12.4%. The downward trend in Armenian grain supply is not new, as the country has experienced a year-on-year decline of 13.5% since 1997. In the global ranking for 2023, Armenia stood at 128th place. Lebanon, with a production of about 162,000 metric tons, was just ahead of Armenia. On the global stage, the United States, India, and Brazil were the top three producers, holding the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
