Uruguayan import of capacitors is set to drop by 7.8% year on year, from 13,430 kilograms in 2021 to 8,430 kilograms in 2026. This is a significant decrease from the peak in 1999, when the figure was 22.7% higher. Uruguayan export of capacitors, however, has been growing. In 2018, the figure was 4.9 kilograms, up 61.2% from 2017. Despite this growth, the country still ranks 82nd in the world; Brunei is ahead with 4.9 kilograms. The United States, Italy, and Germany are the top three exporters of capacitors.
