Burundian beef production is on the rise. In 2021, the country produced 15,560 metric tons of beef, a 7.7% year-on-year increase since 1966. Burundi was ranked 121st in this global ranking, with Swaziland just ahead of it at 15,600 metric tons. Brazil, China, and Argentina came in at second, third and fourth places, respectively. By 2026, Burundi is expected to reach 17,600 metric tons, growing at a rate of 2.1% year-on-year.
