Côte d'Ivoire's beef consumption is expected to decline by 1% on average in the next five years, from 30.2 thousand metric tons in 2021 to 30.2 thousand metric tons by 2026. Since 2017, demand for beef in the country has fallen by 2% year on year. In terms of production, Côte d'Ivoire is expected to remain at 31.2 thousand metric tons of beef in 2021. This is the same level as in 1966 when the country first started recording beef production figures. In 2021, Botswana overtook Côte d'Ivoire, coming in at number 107 with 31.2 thousand metric tons of beef production. Brazil, China and Argentina were the top three countries in terms of beef production in 2021, respectively.
