Iran is forecast to achieve an annual beef consumption of 443,830 metric tons by 2026. This is a 1.3% increase from the 411,000 metric tons consumed in 2021. Since 2017, Iranian demand for beef has grown at a rate of 2.1% each year. At 390,790 metric tons, Iran's beef production is expected to remain stable in the next five years. The country produced 390,930 metric tons of beef in 2021. This is a slight decrease from the 1966 figure of 402,310 metric tons, representing a 2.6% annual decline. Ethiopia produced the most beef in 2021, followed by Brazil, China, and Argentina.
